June Currently | 2016

Hello Gorgeous!

So we are at the beginning of another month and I decided that I wanted to do a June Currently post for me to look back on to see what I have been been loving this summer and for YOU to get to know ME a bit better.

June Currently

loving. I have been loving all of the flatlay stock photos I have been finding online, especially the feature photo for this post! I love photos of tulips on marble. I just think they are so beautiful!

needing. I am needing the Wet’n’Wild highlighter in Precious Petals. I have been looking for it EVERYWHERE! I have found the rest of the line, but that highlighter has always been out of stock. I have called around to all of the local drugstores and NOTHING. I’m so upset! Everyone has been able to find it and they are talking about how great it is, while I can’t find it. Stop rubbing it in! 😡 😜 😂

wanting. THE WET’N’WILD HIGLIGHTER, need I repeat myself?!

writing. I am working on several true reviews and haul reviews at the moment, hoping to get them posted here in the next few weeks! Plus, I have a REALLY fun link-up post coming soon!

reading. I recently started reading The Great Gatsby for a gen-ed American Literature class. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. It has been a bit slow for me so far, but I have really only read, like, the first five pages so I can’t really say anything yet.

watching. Right this minute, I am watch Mallory Ervin’s Charlotte Tilbury Haul and Tutorial. YouTube videos are just my thing. I love to keep up with Daily Bumps, Cullen and Katie, Jaclyn Hill, Tati, Kathleen Lights, MakeupbyTiffanyD and so many more. I always watch their videos when I am writing blog posts! As for television shows, Mr. Man and I have been binge-watching How to Get Away with Murder and House of Cards lately since The Blacklist is now on break. Mr. Man has gotten hooked on House of Cards, but I prefer How to Get Away with Murder more. That show is just so twisted!

listening. To Mallory Ervin’s Youtube video and the general office chatter between my coworkers.

wishing. For a Caramel Macchiato or a Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks. YUM! 😍

feeling. Excited about everything that I have coming up in the next few weeks!

craving. Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Garlic Bread. My fave! I eat some form of spaghetti ALL THE TIME!

eating. Yoplait Greek Strawberry Cheesecake yogurt with Cheerios. I love to eat yogurt as an afternoon snack, because it’s easy to eat while working on posts at my desk.

drinking. I keep switching between my lukewarm coffee and my water. Camelbak-style water bottles and the Yeti Rambler Lowball for the win!

working on. This post, a couple of review posts and a few evergreen posts for my internship’s blog!

contemplating. Blog makeovers and updating posts.

goals.

  1. I want to read 3 books: The Great Gatsby, Me Before You and The Beekeeper’s Son.
  2. I want to be more active on my blog and try to post at least once – shooting for twice – per week.
  3. I want to be more active on my Instagram, hoping to be posting 5-6 times per week.
  4. I want to keep up all of the pinning that I have been doing on Pinterest lately.

I hope you all are having a great start to June and your summer. Talk to you soon!

    1. My sister loved TGG and has read it several times. We have different tastes in novels, so it has been a bit slow for me. Trying to persevere! I am reading it for a gen-ed American Literature, so I don’t really have much choice!

Oh I’m curious what internship you have that lets you have a blog?!

    1. I am interning with a Visitor’s Bureau. Their website has a travel blog component through WordPress.org, so I have been writing and coming up with ideas for their evergreen posts. It has actually turned out to be more fun than I thought it would be!

  23. Love this series! I want the Wet n’ Wild highlighters as well!! They’re always sold out whenever I go to purchase them at the drugstore.

    1. Same! It’s so frustrating and then I see people on Ebay selling them for $20+ and I am sitting here like “these people are buying them up, so they can make a profit!!!” It’s not worth $20 to me, even if I am dying to try it!

  24. Me Before You was an amazing book! I couldn’t get into The Great Gatsby when I had to read it for class, it went to slowly for me too!

    Kayla | kaylablogs.com

    1. That’s how I am feeling about The Great Gatsby right now too and I am having to read it for a class that also requires an analytical paper on it. Kill me now! 😂

  25. I’ve heard such great things about that Wet n Wild highlighter so I’m thinking I will NEED to get my hands on it tooooo! xx Adaleta Avdic

    1. The hype on Youtube and Instagram is so real with that highlighter! I have the darker one and the highlighter/blush sticks, which are all good. Just wish I could find the highlighter that actually matches my fair skin!

  26. I totally understand you on the highlighter situation, girl. I’ve been going through the same struggle, hopefully we both find it soon!

    1. I am glad I am not the only one! I was beginning to feel like I was crazy! 😂

  27. I have been loving stock photos lately too! I have just discovered a few sites that have really beautiful photos and I had no idea stock images could be so pretty!

  28. You MUST read The Great Gatsby!! How have you not read that yet?!?!? It’s such a classic. I would also suggest adding Catcher in the Rye to your list if you haven’t read that already – another American classic.
