Hello Gorgeous!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kenra Professional through a website, called BrandBacker. Kenra sent me three of their newest products! I got to try the Kenra High Grip Spray, the Kenra Air Grip Spray and the Kenra Whip Grip mousse. I haven’t ever used any Kenra products before, so I was super excited to get my hands on these and try them out!

Kenra High Grip Spray 20; a high hold defining hairspray – $19.00

Claims: Provides 24 hour high hold. Ultra-lightweight formula. Delivers superior definition. High hold. Matte finish.

This spray definitely gives a 24 hour high hold, while still being very lightweight. The mist is very fine, which I was worried about at first, but it covered my hair nicely and kept everything in place. My hair has its own natural waves, but it doesn’t hold curl well at all. Something I run into with hairsprays is that most products don’t help my hair hold the curl. This product did not disappoint. My hair held beachy waves all day, which never happens. Loose curls tend to fall out within an hour or so! It is 8 oz. of product and it doesn’t take very much at all to see results, so I think the price is on point!

Kenra Air Grip Spray 5; a dry wax defining spray – $17.00

Claims: Instantly provides 50% more grip. Ultra-lightweight formula. Superior definition and all over volume. Flexible hold. Matte finish.

This was my favorite product out of the whole bunch! It acted like a cross between a dry shampoo and a hairspray. It gave me a lot of volume and grit to my hair, but in a good way. I loved the way that it made my hair look and smell. All of these products smell amazing! It reminds me of a perfume from Bath and Body Works, but I can’t figure out which one. You get 5 oz. of product in this spray, which makes the price seem a little high, but it is so good that it is worth it! I used this spray to set my curls after they came off the iron and then light separated/scrunched the curls. I didn’t notice a matte finish with any of these products, but that doesn’t matter to me, anyway.

Kenra Whip Grip Mousse 9; a light hold defining mousse – $17.00

Claims: Provides 3x more volume. Imparts maximum volume without stiffness. Airy, whipped formula. Light hold matte finish.

This product was my least favorite of the three. It did what it was supposed to do in terms of defining the waves/curls in my hair and holding them all day. The scent of this product was just too much for me. With the other two, I could no longer smell the scent after about ten minutes or so. My hair was still scented, so it was there if you smelled my hair, but I didn’t constantly smell it. With the mousse, the scent never lightened up or went away. I could smell it all day long and it gave me a headache. I also don’t feel like this product lived up to any of its claims. I don’t feel like it gave me noticeable volume and it left my hair feeling quite stiff.

All in all, I really liked the two sprays. The mists were very fine and worked wonderfully. The scent smelled so good! They gave me volume and held my style all day. Once I use all of these up, I will repurchase the Dry Wax spray definitely. I may repurchase the hairspray as well, but I have a few other hairsprays that cheaper and work just as good. Sadly, I will be passing on the mousse. I just cannot handle the scent. If it was less scented, like the sprays, I would like it a lot more. So, if you could only buy one of these, I definitely recommend the Dry Wax spray because it gave so much volume and hold!

Have you tried any Kenra products before? What should I try next?
