It’s Mr. Man’s turn to take over the blog, I hope ya’ll enjoy it.
1 // What’s the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
The best vacation I’ve ever been on is my most recent vacation to Garden City Beach, SC this past June. It was my best vacation for many reasons. For starters, it was the first vacation I’ve ever spent with Leah and it was the longest we’ve ever been together at one time. Second, we took JET SKIS over A MILE out into the OCEAN where I saw a SEA TURTLE. That was pretty cool. I thought it was Crush so I tried to give him some noggin’ but he dove down way too fast, probably to catch the EAC.
Leah’s Thoughts: I loved this beach trip. It was amazing! However, the jet ski adventure was scary. I was so afraid of getting knocked off of the jet ski into the ocean.
2 // If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
I love the snow, so I really want to visit Canada, where it is practically snowing 365 days a year. Ontario or Vancouver would probably be the location of choice. I would have to try snowboarding up there. I will probably totally fail, but I HAVE to try it.
Leah’s Thoughts: I actually didn’t know this. Learn something new everyday!
3 // Are there any summer traditions that you have or would like to start? (think things like big picnics, summer activities, bonfires, or day trips!)
I would like to make a week long beach vacation with Leah and my family a tradition. This past vacation was such a great time, that I want to do it every year from here on out. My family also had an annual hog roast when I was growing up, where we would invite tons of friends and family over for the day, hang out and eat some BBQ. It was a huge get-together. We usually hired a band to come and play. The hog would have to roast overnight (at least 14 hours), so I stayed up with my dad and some of his buddies tending the pit.
Leah’s Thoughts: I think that it would have been a lot of fun to be at the hog roasts when Mr. Man was growing up.
4 // What’s a must-have picnic or BBQ food for you?
I can’t decide on just one. The tie goes to coleslaw and macaroni & cheese. It just isn’t a southern BBQ without those two items.
5 // Think about your ideal vacation…are you in a cozy cabin, camping in a tent, or hanging in a hotel?
My ideal vacation consists of a cabin, either on the beach or tucked in solitude on a mountain. There is no better place to stay. Staying in a cabin increases the relaxation factor ten-fold. There is no way possible to be stressed while staying in a cabin. Give me a pool table, a hot tub and a fireplace, I might not ever leave.
Leah’s Thoughts: Mr. Man is definitely an outdoor, solitude kind of guy.
