#TutorialTuesday : Graphic Blue Liner

Hi friends!

So today, I sat down at my vanity with the intention of doing a graphic blue liner similar to Shaaanxo’s Graphic Chartreuse liner {here}. I mapped it out in white and I started to line my eyes. Everything was great and the white liner made it so much easier to see where I needed to draw my liner. Then it came time to put the liner in my crease and I could NOT, for the life of me, get the lines to look halfway decent. Needless to say, I ended up wiping it off and leaving the liner without any color in the crease. I still love the way that it came out and I will probably try to do graphic liner again in the future. But today just wasn’t that day. Enough rambling, let’s get into the products.

So for today’s look, I am not listing the steps for my base since it is the same as all of my other recent tutorials. So let’s just start out with the eyes. Begin by setting the concealer on the lid with your typical setting powder. Using a Real Techniques Crease Brush, throw Ulta Single Eyeshadow in Sable all in the crease. Now for the liner!!!! I found it was easiest for me to map out my liner with an angled liner brush and the NYX Jumbo Eyepencil in Milk. For a bright colored liner, the white base will really make it pop even more, but it will also make it so much easier to get straight precise lines. Once the white has been laid down, go over it with the NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Blue. I did a relatively thick wing and I also lined my lower lashline, but I left an open space in the center of the eye just because. {I want ALL of the colors that this eyeliner comes in. It is so pigmented and perfect!} Tightline with the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Deep Blue. Using the dark brown shade from the Ulta Eyeshadow Palette in Indie and the Crown Pencil Brush, apply this to the empty space on the lower lashline. Apply two-three coats of the Maybelline One By One Volume Express & the Rimmel LashAccelerator Endless Lash mascaras in Blackest Black. For brows, fill in any sparse areas and define them with the NYX Brow Powder in Taupe. Set with the Maybelline Great Lash mascara in Clear. Apply the Maybelline FitMe blush in Light Pink for a soft flush. Hightlight the inner corner, cupid’s bow and cheekbones with the Maybelline Expert Wear Single Eyeshadow in Champagne Fizz. I paired this with a pale pink lip so that the eyes could take center stage. I used Butter Cup by Gerard Cosmetics, but Rimmel Airy Fairy would be just as good. & you are done!
