The Cat’s Book Club || Something New & My 2018 Reading List

Here is my 2018 reading list, along with information regarding the book club that I am starting on TCC this year. I am really hoping to create a community that you love to interact in through this book club!

Hello Gorgeous!

Since I am officially post grad (HALLELUJAH!), I am rediscovering my love for reading books that I love. I have always enjoyed reading, but I haven’t been able to read books of my choice since I had to read so much for school. This year, I want to start reading again. I thought some of you might want to join me! Here are the books I want to read this year:

  4. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
  5. Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close
  6. The Defining Decade by Meg Jay, PhD
  7. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
  8. Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
  9. Option B by Sheryl Sandberg
  10. Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
  11. It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

  25. Mistakes I Made at Work by Jessica Bacal
  26. Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

  28. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  29. Room with a View by E. M. Forster

  32. Bossy Pants by Tina Fey
  33. When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi
  34. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo

So here is my plan for this book club: each month, I will share a review or my takeaways from the book that I am reading. We can then have a discussion about it in the comments. This is a long list and I don’t know that I will get through all of them in a year, but maybe I will! I will share the book for the next month in my “Monthly Goals” post, so the books for January and February are already listed HERE. We will see how this goes and tweak it as needed. I think it will be a fun way to connect this year and I can’t wait to have book club conversations with all of you!

I will also be reviewing my bible studies as I finish them. My personal bible study is more of a book, but our marriage bible study is a year long. As I review or finish a book, I will add it to my book list HERE so they are all in one place!

What book(s) are you most excited to read in 2018?!
